Support Work

Work is a large part of our lives. Other than the financial gains of work we also want it to be meaningful and be a place where we feel valued and respected. Workplace issues are a common source of stress for many. It is impossible to have a workplace where everyone’s roles, expectations, and personalities work perfectly together, without conflict. When conflict is not managed well, problems develop. As such, certain workplace issues may cause negative psychological symptoms.
Workers may find discussing their workplace stress, challenges and personal concerns with an approved counsellor, is helpful to them both professionally and personally. Workplace as well as personal issues can lead to decreased performance and productivity, loss of job, termination, decreased satisfaction, happiness, stress, and a wide variety of mental health issues.

Common Workplace Issues that employees face include:

• Interpersonal conflict
• Communication problems
• Gossip
• Bullying
• Harassment
• Discrimination
• Low motivation and job satisfaction
• Performance issues
• Poor job fit
• Personal issues at home that impact your work performance
